Diversity Initiative

We are excited to announce a new initiative to promote quantitative skills among incoming graduate students from underrepresented groups.

Scholarships will be awarded so that incoming graduate students can attend courses in the 2018 ICPSR Summer Program before they begin their graduate work in the fall. The scholarships provide registration fee waivers to the Summer Program's four-week sessions in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Support for travel, lodging, and incidental expenses is also provided.

For more information about the initiative, contact Summer Program Director Saundra Schneider at saundras@umich.edu.

Cooperation between the ICPSR Summer Program and the Global School in Empirical Research Methods

The ICPSR Summer Program is pleased to announce its cooperation with the Global School in Empirical Research Methods (GSERM) at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Both the ICPSR Summer Program and GSERM share a common goal: To provide the methodological skills and instruction that facilitate high-caliber research and analysis on critical problems, events, and behaviors. The cooperation between the two programs is evidence of the important role that methodological training plays in social science research, teaching, and practice around the world.
